Raw, unsettling tales that cut deep and linger long after.
I’m Chad Olshavsky, but you can call me ChadO. I’m a writer and stand-up comedian, blending dark humor with sharp storytelling that doesn’t pull punches. I’m the author of RoomMate: The Novel, a psychological thriller that’ll keep you up at night, and creator of Stevie J’s Life Lessons, a picture book series for adults, inspired by my own stand-up material. Definitely not for kids.
I started out as a screenwriter in Hollywood, even landing some optioned scripts before I pivoted to novels and other content that really speaks to my comedy style. I’ve also written parts of Memoirs of a Hollywood Addict, which takes an unfiltered look at my life behind the scenes. In 2013, I created The Box, a short film about a mad scientist mortician in search of love—it earned praise for its unexpected emotional depth. Before that, I wrote Playmates, a short horror film starring my two kids. And it all started with my debut short film, Be Still.
While making people laugh on stage keeps me grounded, my true passion is crafting horror and mystery stories that leave a lasting impression.
Currently working on Fiction Novel #2: DayDreamer, coming 2025
Gripping, twisted, and unrelenting—this is a story that won’t let you go.
